About Miss Lauer (K/1)
Hello Families of Room 106! My name is Alison Lauer and I am so excited to be a part of the wonderful community here at Sunol Glen School. This will be my third year teaching K/1 at Sunol!
I grew up right next door in Pleasanton, and returned after going away for college. In 2007 I completed my BA in Psychology from UC Santa Barbara. I went on to obtain my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Monterey Bay through the CalState TEACH credential program.
My dream has always been to teach Kindergarten or First grade, and I am thrilled to be able to teach both here at Sunol Glen School! The small-town, rural feel of Sunol provides a wonderful atmosphere for learning. As much as I enjoy summer vacation, I am always eager to meet my new students, and experience the wonderful surprises and joys that the school-year is sure to bring!
When I'm not teaching, I love to be outdoors hiking, walking, enjoying the sunshine, and spending time with family, friends and my German Shepherd, Sierra.
